Bentley Wood , together with the adjacent Blackmoor Copse, they form one of the largest contiguous areas of woodland in Wiltshire.The site is a haven for wildlife and very important site for butterflies, with species including the rare Purple Emperor and White Admiral.  The woods offer walking and cycling within its area 665 hectares all year round.
      

The Clarendon Way
A 24 mile walk linking the two Wessex Cathedral  cities of Winchester and Salisbury
It takes the walker over the hills to emerge by the church at West Winterslow then on to Middle Winterslow and along the Roman road to Buckholt. A well-defined track leads direct to Broughton.

Black Horse Charity we always support one or more charities and in 4 years we have raised over £6,000 for charity. Locally we are raising funds for West Tytherley Village, to build a new Village Pavilion and update recreational facilities.Funds raised so far: Carols by Candlelight service  £215 Grand Black Horse Raffle £862 A fabulous start, many thanks to our kind prize givers and to all who supported these events
